Beyonce unexpectedly dropped a new album on Friday December 13th in the wee hours of the morning. The album titled "Visual Title" came bundled with very seductive pictures of queen B, 17 music videos & 14 mastered tracks, with features like Jay Z, Frank Ocean, Drake & even her daughter Blue Ivy. One of the featured tracks caught my eye more than the others & that track was titled 'Mine' featuring rap/r&b superstar Drake. 'Mine' is a very "moody" song, what I mean by that is that the tempo switches up a lot throughout the song. Which I find to be different & enjoyable. The song was written by Drake & produced by Drake's in house producer Noah "40" Shebib. I love Beyonce & her vocals do belong on this song, but as a fan of Drake since his "Come Back Season" & "Heart Break Drake" mixtape's it was only right for me to give this song a make over. I added an intro and cut most of Beyonce's vocals making it a Drake solo hit! Instead of it being a Beyonce song featuring Drake, I created a Drake song featuring Beyonce. To me this song sounded like it could of been an interlude to a track titled 'Connect' of Drake's recent album "Nothing Was The Same". Do to the similar lyrics & word play Drake uses in 'Mine' this can no doubt be added to the NWTS track list right after "Connect" and flow just right?
All in all Beyonce's album is doing quite well for having no promotion & no singles. It is very nice sounding album with some really nice sounding pieces on it. If you are a Beyonce fan you will no doubt love this album. If not, you will still find some pockets in random songs that you can vibe with and relate to.
